Review the complete story text and representative character artwork. One consolidated round of changes is included before the direction is locked.

Review a versioned proof of the completed book. One round of adjustments within the approved direction is included.

Release it to print

Nothing prints through silence. After explicit approval, we submit the correct final files and send tracking when the hardcover ships.

What happens when I join the reservation list?

We save your name, email, and optional book preference, then email you when commissions open. Joining is free and nonbinding. It does not place an order, collect payment, reserve a production slot, or guarantee a delivery date.

Do you need my child’s details now?

Not yet. Just your adult name and email. If you choose to commission a book after opening, we will collect the story details privately. Photographs will remain optional.

Is this a physical book?

The planned Signature edition combines an 8.5-inch square casewrap hardcover with a digital edition. Hardcover availability and production details are confirmed before payment. The Digital edition includes a screen-ready PDF and an 8.5-inch square interior PDF for personal printing; a printer-specific cover wrap is not included.

What exactly is personalized?

The child’s interests, habits, questions, relationships, and optional pet help shape the plot—not just the name on the cover. We use a defined story scope so the result stays coherent and the delivery promise stays realistic.

How long does it take?

We confirm a first-proof date after reviewing your brief and our current availability. Review time, printing, and transit are separate stages. For hardcover inquiries, we confirm the printer schedule and delivery estimate for your destination before payment. Please tell us about any gift deadline; submitting this form does not reserve a date.

Do I need to share a child’s photograph?

No. We can work from an appearance description. If reference photographs are used, the buyer must have authority to provide them. They are used for the order and never for marketing without separate permission.

What do the two approval stages include?

Stage 1 covers the premise, full story text, names, and representative character artwork. Stage 2 covers the completed illustrations and layout. A new plot, art direction, or character after Stage 1 is a scope change; our own errors are always corrected without charge.

How are the story and artwork made?

AI tools assist parts of the writing and illustration process. Dearly Fabled directs, edits, arranges, and checks the complete book. The result is an artistic interpretation rather than a guaranteed photographic likeness.
