A child’s story deserves careful handling.
Dearly Fabled is an adult-operated gift service. We collect only what we need to evaluate and complete an order, and marketing permission is always separate.
What we collect
The reservation list collects an adult’s name, email, optional book preference, the signup time, and their agreement to receive reservation-opening messages. No child’s details, photographs, address, or payment information are needed to join. If you later choose to commission a book, we request only the details needed for that order.
Storage and access
Reservation details are stored in the website’s private database on the OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare hosting infrastructure. Authorized studio staff use them to send reservation-opening information and next steps. Joining does not subscribe you to a general newsletter. We do not sell the list. You can ask to leave the list or have your signup deleted by emailing hello@dearlyfabled.com; any opening message will include a way to opt out.
Reference photographs
Photographs are optional and are requested only after scope is confirmed. The buyer must have appropriate authority to provide them. They are used to make the commissioned book and are not automatically added to a public portfolio or marketing library.
AI-assisted processing
AI tools may assist parts of writing and illustration. We identify the providers involved and explain how reference photographs will be processed before requesting any photographs. We do not promise a privacy or deletion behavior that a third-party processor cannot actually provide.
Retention and marketing
We review reservation signups at least every 90 days and remove them on request or when the opening-notification purpose has ended. Our order retention schedule calls for reviewing unconverted inquiries for deletion after 90 days, removing source photographs 30 days after delivery issues are resolved, and removing production files after 90 days, unless the buyer explicitly requests longer storage for reorders. Order, approval, and payment records may need to be kept separately. Deletion from third-party systems and backups follows the limits explained before photos are requested. Separate written permission is required before any customer name, review, photograph, reaction, or finished book is used in marketing.
